Aldin Grange Result

We had a poor turnout for this match with only 10 taking part, some having work commitments, holidays etc.The day itself was warm with a blustery wind blowing down from peg 1 to 14 which is where we were pegged. The draw went ahead with most hoping for the higher numbers with fish following the wind. The usual moans and groans ensued apart from match secretary Ian Foster who drew peg 14 followed with the usual quips of 'did you have that glued to your finger','that'll be right' and 'lucky B£()@?'. With pressure on his shoulders Ian masterfully won with a bag of ide taken on the long pole with maggot and carp from the margins on pole using pellet or paste.Keith Garrett (peg 9) was a sore loser in second place with ide taken on long pole or whip tactics and a few tench and carp from down the the middle, claiming he could have won if he didn't mess about on the whip.Third place was taken by Chris Smith who fished pole and maggot for a mixed bag. 1st  I. Foster   12lb 9oz 2nd K.Garrett 11lb 14oz 3rd  C.Smith   7lb 4oz Well done Lobba on another away day victory.
